Mr. Lum Swee Loon Chairman & CEO Mr. Lum, has been in the Electronics industry for more than twenty years. He holds a Bachelors of Science (Analytical Chemistry) from Nanyang University, Singapore. Mr. Lum's work experience includes Philips and Apple Computer, at a time when the computer industry was in its infancy in ASIA. He played a vital role in establishing Apple Computers first international procurement organization in early 1983. Mr. Lum built further upon this multinational experience, working in key management positions with "homegrown" companies: >> Goldtron Electronics Pte Ltd as a Business Development Manager & Managing Director where he managed a team of professional engineers in the USA to develop a new Lithium Battery technology. >> Fu-Yu Manufacturing Ltd recruited Mr. Lum as the Group General where he led the company into overseas expansion and guided the company through its initial public offering on the Singapore stock exchange (SESDAQ). Mr. Lum came to ViQuest in 1997, and was instrumental in streamlining operations, and organizing the company for the management buyout in 1998. Mr. Lum oversees the finance and business development opportunities for the company. Mr. Cheung Shiu Kay President S K Cheung, has an extensive Engineering and Manufacturing background that spans 35 years in the Tooling and Molding industry. He holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, R.O.C. Mr. Cheung spent several years in the tooling industry before taking an engineering position at Phillips Electronic. He quickly moved into management where he built an extensive tooling operation, overseeing more than 150 tooling engineers. Upon leaving Phillips Mr. Cheung established his own tooling and molding operations in Hong Kong, for computer products, which was sold to outside investors. Mr. Cheung started with ViQuest in late 1996, and was responsible for building a new state of the art tool room for the company and playing an instrumental role in the MBO of ViQuest. Mr. Cheung manages the engineering and operational aspects of ViQuest. Mr. Christopher Lee Vice President, Engineering Mr. Christopher Lee, has more than 20 years of experience within the industry. He holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering and a Certificate in Production Engineering from the Singapore Polytechnic. He started his career at Philips Domestic Appliances as a Plastic Process Engineer, subsequently, Mr. Lee spent over 10 years at Chartered Industries of Singapore as a Plastics product development-Operations Manager where he built a specialized team that focused on new technologies and processes for resin materials. Mr. Lee joined ViQuest in late 1996, and has been instrumental in building an engineering team disciplined in 3D design, and establishing product engineering support to better communicate with ViQuest's customers. Mr. William Brian Blanc Smith Vice President, Sales & Marketing Mr. Brian Smith, has more than 18 years of experiences in the electronics industry. He has an extensive product management and corporate procurement management background based on his years of experience at Seagate Technology, Convergent Technologies and Silicon Graphics. Mr. Smith co-founded in 1992 a multi-national manufacturers representative firm handling electronic components and assembly services. In partnership with Seiko Instruments in 1995, Mr. Smith patented and marketed a business card reader, which continues to be manufactured for the European market. Mr. Smith started with ViQuest in 1997 as a consultant and is responsible for establishing and penetrating the US market to develop "strategic" partnerships between the company and its customers. |
